El Camino Real High School Fundraiser Event

Woodland Hills, CA USA, Sunday, April 29, 2007, El Camino Real High School, 5440 Valley Circle Blvd., Woodland Hills, will host its first ever Picture This! Scrapbook Fundraiser. The event will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and a portion of the $25.00 entry fee will benefit the El Camino Real baseball team. Each participant will create a Mother's Day Wall Clock and a mini album. Notable contributors include Across The Street LLC, CraftLocker, The Paper Element, Scrapbook Safari, Strictly Scrapbooking, and more.

Picture This! Scrapbook Fundraiser is a ground breaking service that couples scrapbook manufacturers, local store owners and schools to create an event that is like no other. Students and attendees are supplied with kits to create unique projects for their photographs. The event is taught by experienced and talented instructors accompanied by a Power Point presentation.

Across The Street LLC is proud to offer the Picture This! Scrapbook Fundraiser services to schools in the Los Angeles district and will continue to expand the program to other counties and states. Marchelle Klein, CEO, explains, "This fundraiser event is win-win for everyone involved. Manufacturers get brand recognition; store owners make a connection with the high demand "millennialist" demographic and the school receives a significant financial return on the fundraiser."

The biggest beneficiary of all, is that which the students receive. With an opportunity to explore creativity, they can reflect on moments that were important enough to photograph.  Spending time with friends while creating keepsakes will lead many to a lifelong hobby. And, of course, they will be raising money for the school programs they enjoy.

Picture This! Scrapbook Fundraiser events are open to the public and tickets will be available at the door. Members of the Press are invited to attend the event at El Camino Real High School as there will be photograph release forms signed by all in attendance.

Across The Street LLC Creates Practical SMART Storage Solutions!

Torrance, CA., USA; July 20, 2006 - We at Across The Street LLC are proud to present the newest product in our LAZY line: LAZY Letters. The product is scheduled for exhibit at the Summer 2006 Craft and Hobby Association Tradeshow in Rosemont, Il. July 21 – July 23.

As scrapbookers with over 20+ years combined experience, Sandi Underwood and Marchelle Klein have enjoyed all the various letter embellishments released in recent years. Marchelle says, “Page titles are not what they were five years ago. First we used pens, next alphabet stickers were the rage and then the computer became a big part of layouts. Now, there are alphabet brads, bottle caps, tags, metal die cuts and, my personal favorite, chip board letters!” But all of these wonderful alphabets have been tossed around from bag to box without a functional storage solution…until NOW!

Lazy Letters is a tote with six shelves. Each shelf holds up to 5 standard sized Pink Links. The Pink Links are plastic boxes to store individual letters of the alphabet. The tote comes with five of the six shelves stocked with the standard sized Pink Links and leaves one shelf open. The open shelf can be used for storage of stamp pads, oversized letters, etc. There is also a Pink Links Expansion Kit sold separately for the sixth shelf. It contains two large sized Pink Links and one standard size Pink Link.

The Pink Links are designed to accommodate the size of several name-brand chipboard alphabets. There is plenty of room to store loose letters and rubber stamps. One can only imagine the eclectic titles that can be made in minutes simply because the alphabets are organized at one’s fingertips.

Across The Street LLC Turns Heads With The NEW Lazy Scrapper

Torrance, CA, February 13, 2006 — Sandi Underwood and Marchelle Klein launched Across the Street LLC at the beginning of this year and exhibited the new Lazy Scrapper at the Winter 2006 Craft and Hobby Association Tradeshow in Las Vegas, NV on January 31-February 2. The modified paint can sports a turntable on the bottom so crafters can spin the can, grab their tool of choice and keep on working. The stylish canvas jacket comes in two color combinations: pink and black, or blue and brown. It has 20 pockets, some of which are mesh for visibility. Another important design feature is the enlarged handle allowing personal trimmers, water bottles and other tall items to be carried easily inside the can. The handle has a plastic grip for carrying the Lazy Scrapper comfortably to crops and classes. Scrapbooking enthusiasts will quickly recognize the value of the Lazy Scrapper's compact size and appreciate the table space it frees up.

This innovative and classy product is the first to be released by Across The Street LLC. Partner Marchelle Klein explains, "First impressions can make or break you. Sandi and I were emphatic about producing high quality products at affordable prices. We envisioned 'function meets fashion' and began formulating our product line. The Lazy Scrapper is just the beginning. As excited as we are about the Lazy Scrapper, we are even more enthusiastic about the next product to be released at the CHA 2006 Summer Show in Rosemont, Illinois."

Sandi and Marchelle possess 20+ years combined experience in the scrapbook industry. Both live in Torrance, California, both are stay-at-home moms, both have four children (Sandi's fourth is due in August 2006), and both share the favorite hobby of…you guessed it, scrapbooking. Say goodbye to misplaced tools today; the Lazy Scrapper will spin you away!
